(1851–1915)
Norwegian physician with a military career, among other things as a Captain of the medical corps. Brother of Frits Thaulow and Edvard Munch’s third cousin. Married Andrea Fredrikke Emilie (Milly) Ihlen in 1881. Referred to as “the captain” or “Captain Heiberg”, who is married to “Madame Heiberg” in Munch’s literary notes.
